Bok: Capela Imaculada – as pinturas/the Paintings

År 2015 var omgestaltningen av kyrkan Capela Imaculada i Braga, Portugal, tillräckligt klar för att kyrkan kunde återinvigas. Arbetet hade utförts i ett samarbete mellan skulptören Asbjörn Andresen, arkitekten Antonio Jorge Cerejeira Fontes, byggmästaren, byggherrens arbetsgrupp och undertecknad. Tre år senare var arbetet helt färdigt, och nu efter ytterligare två år finns min bok om de målningar jag kom att utföra i kyrkan. Bokprojektet initierades av padre Joaquim Carvalho, som också har tagit de vackra fotografierna.

Boken är på engelska och portugisiska.

Hela omgestaltningsarbetet fick tidskriften Architecture Daily´s pris för religiösa byggnader år 2019.

BAKSIDESTEXT/COVER TEXT: The paintings in Capela Imaculada in Braga were made by the Swedish artist Lisa Sigfridsson. In this book she shares some of her thoughts about the work and the choices of path that had to be taken in the process. The book also shows all the paintings in their entirety as well as in detail. The beautiful photos were taken by Padre Joaquim Félix Carvalho. The translation was made by Joana Jaçinto.

The whole rebuilding work was awarded the Architecture Daily Price for Religious Buildings in 2019.

In the year of 2015 the re-formation of the church Capela Imaculada was finished enough for the church to be re-inaugurated. Three years later the work was fully completed, and now two more years later my book about the paintings I made in the church has been released. The book project was initiated by Padre Joaquim Carvalho, who also has taken the beautiful photographs.
